"The touchpad sits flush with the deck, and is only demarcated by two lines on either side. At 2.6 x 1.5 inches, it’s decently sized, and slightly larger than the 751h’s 2.5 x 1.6-inch touchpad; we liked that it offered little resistance as we moved our finger across it.... The two accompanying silver buttons proved nice and crisp, an improvement over the 751h’s single bar."
"The touchpad is smaller, but it's not really a problem. The touchpad area is also subtly delineated by a slight change in texture compared with the finish on the chassis. We like that the buttons are separate, rather than part of a single rocker switch, since the response from them is far more even and reliable."
"The surface of the touchpad does not glide well, making it fairly cumbersome to move the pointer across the screen.... You very quickly get used to the multi-touch gestures, and they are consistently recognised, so that they do start to make your life easier."

"Like most other new Acer notebooks, the 1810T’s keyboard has flat, non-chamfered plastic keys that have a slightly textured feel. The layout is 92 percent of full size—larger than that found on the HP Mini 311—and we appreciate that the large right Shift key is in the proper place. We were typing at full speed in no time at all."
"The 1810TZ's 'Fine Tip' keyboard is supposed to appeal to those who type a lot, by having larger keys and well-defined spaces in-between. And indeed the keys are pleasantly large and well differentiated."
"With the flat keys standing proud of the keyboard itself. The keys are surprisingly big for a machine of this size, and it's easy to type for long periods of time without discomfort. They're also well-attached and responsive, and give this machine a quality feel."
"The layout is very sensible and the keys are large and friendly. Key actions are sharp, too, but a tad on the shallow side. This takes a little getting used to at first and is one of the few chinks in the 1810's armoury, but it's one you'll quickly get used to."

"The notebook has a high level of workmanship.... The keyboard is robust and doesn't give way even under strong pressure. However the plastic lid is not quite as robust, with screen distortions appearing if moderate pressure is applied."
