If I was looking for something more compact than my Sony Reader 505 I would strongly consider this device. I think the closest competitor to this model is the new Sony PRS-300 Pocket Edition, but when you compare the features and functionality the Pocket PRO wins in almost all areas.
Our biggest disappointment is that Astak haven’t done some extra work to bring the price down: at $199 it’s close to Amazon and Barnes and Noble’s ebook reader offerings, and we reckon if the company undercut those by $100 or so then they’d have a decent competitor on their hands.
The compact Astak EZ Reader Pocket Pro has a solid feature set and an affordable price tag, but it faces stiff competition from competing models by Amazon, Sony, and Barnes & Noble that offer better designs, improved navigation, and more features.
The Astak EZReader PocketPro has lots of great features for its price, but they don't make up for poor font options and subpar usability.
