Panasonic received an 8.9 out of 10 in a 2009 survey of PC Magazine readers, which measured companies across 7 criteria to determine customer service satisfaction. Panasonic ranked 2nd out of the 10 HDTV manufacturers in the survey.

Panasonic was rated ABOVE AVERAGE in a 2008 survey of 16,000 PC World readers measuring the "overall satisfaction with reliability" of HDTVs. There were 16 manufacturers scored, 10 of which were average, 3 were above average and 3 were below average. 

Panasonic provides a 1 year limited parts and labor warranty on its HDTVs. During the warranty period, Panasonic states on their website that "Your Panasonic VIERA HDTV comes with a 12 month factory warranty that covers parts and labor as well as access to our toll-free hotline and web chat support."

Panasonic scored a 4.9 out of 10 on Greenpeace's 2009 Guide to Greener Electronics, which ranks the top electronics manufacturers on their policies on toxic chemicals, recycling and climate change. Panasonic was 10th out of the 18 electronics companies in the guide.

Panasonic received a C on the Electronics Takeback Coalition's 2009 review of TV manufacturer recycling programs. Panasonic was 7th out of the 18 TV manufacturers scored for the review. The ETC says: "In 2008, Panasonic (along with Toshiba and Sharp) launched a recycling company called MRM, initally to comply with state mandated recycling programs in MN and TX (monitors only). In January 2009, MRM expanded this to be a national program with sites in every state, although only a couple of sites in most states (except those with e-waste laws)."

Panasonic received an 8.5 environmental rating on The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations as rated by Corporate Knights Inc. and cited in Forbes.
