The Panasonic [TC-PV10 series] will come as close as any current production plasma to satisfying the affordable dreams of nearly any HDTV junkie.
The TC-P54V10 is Panasonic’s best plasma HDTV to date. Dealers and videophiles have been lamenting Pioneer’s withdrawal of the revered KURO plasma HDTVs from the market. Panasonic’s V10 provides comparable or better performance in nearly every criteria of image quality, at less than half the retail price...
Its picture should satisfy all but the pickiest of videophiles, and it also outperforms any LCD-based display, LED or otherwise, we've ever tested. Beyond image quality, the V10 delivers plenty of features and an eye-catching one-sheet-of-glass design, for a combination that deserves serious consideration from buyers willing to pay for it.
The [TC-PV10 series] may only be a solid standard definition performer, but…. With HD, its performance truly is imperious - even more so, I'd argue, than Panasonic's more expensive ultra-thin Z1 range.
I'd have to have a seriously good reason to recommend any other similar display over a Panasonic V10, but I don't think that there is one.... I could personally live with one of these displays for everyday TV usage, and that isn't something I can say often.
