Voice quality on the Samsung Epic 4G was great.... Noise cancellation was top notch, and we never experienced any major static.
The Epic 4G is a perfectly good phone.... The phone's earpiece and speakerphone are both loud enough for any use, and while sound in the earpiece is a touch muffled.
Conversations are crystal clear with plenty of volume.
The Samsung Epic 4G offered excellent call quality during my tests. Calls...sounded very crisp and clear, without any cackling or popping issues, and I didn't experience a single dropped call.
Call quality was very good for the most part.... Our callers said the same about us.... They said the voice quality was noticeably tinny and harsh.... Still, its voice clarity wins out in the end, and they had no major complaints with call quality.
Call quality on the Epic 4G was mostly clear during our tests.... The reception on Samsung's phone was slightly better than the Evo 4G (which sounded a bit fuzzy), but the latter phone was quicker to connect.

Honestly, with the rolling boil of applications being ladled from the Android market and the upcoming Media Hub, the Samsung Epic 4G is stacked with multimedia options.... Basic YouTube and video watching was great.
The Epic 4G plays an unusually wide array of video files, including XVID, DIVX, and H.264 with AAC audio, including many files in 720p HD format.... Video looks sharp and plays clearly on the screen.... Music also performs well here, with the Epic supporting a wide range of formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, and AAC.
The TouchWiz music player is touch-friendly and easy to navigate.... Sound was clean over my own earbuds, and decent via the external speakers.... The Epic also supports more video codecs, such as Xvid, DivX, and H.264 formats.
The Epic shines as a multimedia player.... Samsung’s Media Hub store isn’t open yet, but the Epic includes Sprint TV and YouTube.
The Epic 4G supports MP4 video formats in addition to DivX- and DivX HD-encoded media files. The phone is also compatible with Samsung's AllShare service that lets you wirelessly share stored media (that includes pictures, HD video, and more) to other DLNA-certified home electronics.
The audio player itself has a clean interface that's easy to navigate, and it imported album art easily from our PC. Like all Android phones, you can download new tracks over the air through Amazon MP3.
